DC bipolar voltage detector

Application:

Bipolar detector of the presence of DC voltage between the catenary and the rail:

  • Presence of voltage indicated by the lighting up of 6 red LEDs and the emission of an audible signal.
  • Functional control of the integrated device which validates all the detector's functions :
    1. Contact the handle's magnetic shoe with the rail and shunt the assembly by making contact between the magnetic handle and the contact hook;
    2. Press the test button: the 6 red LEDs will light up and the audible signal will sound;
    3. Release the test button: the 6 green LEDs light up momentarily.

Features:

  • No prior voltage setting is necessary: the device is systematically set and tested at the factory.
  • The system consists of :
    • Audible and luminous 750-1500 V DC voltage detector with W tip;
    • 8 mm diameter contact tip electrode;
    • Magnetic plate for rail mounting;
    • 2.4 m connecting cable.
  • Soft case.
  • Power supply: one 9 V alkaline battery, type 6 LR61.
